For some, AUB is not just a great place to study and work, but the beginning of a love story. Compiled here are photos and stories of married couples who met at AUB. Did you meet at AUB?
"I met Salma back in 1992 during her first day at work. It started as a solid friendship and developed into a strong relationship. Love made our life better and we feel happier every day." Ali
“Mariam and I met in December 1998 on a weird/funny blind date, but it was love at first sight. We got married in September 2000. We have three wonderful children.” Mazen
"We met in a computer and communications engineering class. I came from Tripoli and was living in the New Women’s Residence, and Karim is from Beirut. We got engaged right after graduation in 1999 and got married in 2001. We live in Dubai." Rania
“We’ve come to realize that what matters is not what can be purchased or owned, but the moments of how we live our lives. In the end it is the family stories that are worth remembering. AUB is one of our family stories.” Dina and Mohamad
"We met at AUB in December 1977. Noura was a freshman and I was in my third year of engineering. The first time we set eyes on each other, Noura was on the steps of the cafeteria and I was standing in the garden just below. In that moment we knew our destinies were set." Hisham
"While attending AUB, my wife and I never crossed paths. It was not until a few years after we graduated that we both decided to move to Saudi Arabia for job opportunities. Through mutual friends and common interests, we grew from acquaintances to husband and wife. After 27 years of marriage, we still find it remarkable that AUB created the necessary foundation for us to venture off into opportunities outside of Lebanon that eventually brought us together. We are forever grateful, thank you AUB!" Aziz
