“We met at IC in the autumn of 1966. It was the year that IC admitted girls into the Baccalaureate class, i.e. Bacc II. We were in the same section and we were both striving for excellence, so we started studying together. When we continued through AUB for our BBA and then MBA, our friendship grew stronger, and our relationship matured into love. In 1973, we became “an item”. Sometime before that, some of our friends commented that we should have some sense and get together seriously. With the difference in religion, this was far from our minds. But certain things happen for a reason. We could not help it, and finally admitted that we were in love and not to be separated; come what may. In 1979, we got engaged, all difficulties were smoothed over, and here we are now happily married with three grown up children who are also happily married. As husband and wife, we run Gezairi Transport, a company I inherited from my father and our fundamental compatibility took the company to higher levels. Now, are trying to pass the company successfully along (we hope) to our children to carry on the legacy.” Mona
