I love it because there's such a variety of people from all different parts of society. Also AUB is a place where people become equal and that's part of what we do at AUB, have a student body that is so different and rich. AUB's contribution is to the whole Middle East. A lot of leaders are from AUB. Somehow AUB brings out this commonality of openness of mind, of beautiful memories, brings together like-minded people, I'm very emotional about AUB. It is the only university with this liberal arts mentality. I'm very grateful for my education here. I am writing in my coming book that I realized that my AUB friends who are AUB to me (even those I hadn't seen for 30 years) have kept a place for me here; I belong here.
